Fair question, gents. Make Soup, Not War is no more nor less than the articulation of a form of life based on soup.

I'm Kim Biography. Some years ago my faith started travelling east, and it didn't take a guru to move it — it took a prayer group and a good instructor and the slow realization that the church has been marginalizing its own prophets as Eastern since Judea. The pot taught me the rest. A soup cannot be rushed, cannot be argued with, and cannot be eaten at someone. Two kitchens that have hated each other for centuries will still ladle from the same tureen, and that is not a metaphor, mate — that is a table with soup on it.

So that's the work here. Reviews of soups, taken seriously. Essays that seat old rivals side by side and score the soups, never the nations. If any of it reads as naive, thank you for the object lesson; the pot is patient and so am I.
